Xbox Live Anywhere drops 13th September

PC and Xbox Gamers rejoice! Microsoft has now confirmed that Xbox Play Anywhere, the cross purchase cross play feature between Windows 10 PC and Xbox One, will go live on 13th September. As long as you purchase a digital game with the Play Anywhere feature, you will be able to play it on both PC and Xbox One at no extra cost. The best news to come from this is the ability to play the games on Xbox with PC players, and vice versa – no more being divided from your friends because you prefer console and they prefer mouse and keyboard! You will also be able to continue your progress where you left off on either platform, including add ons and achievements . Microsoft have said that all first party games going forward will all be Play Anywhere enabled, starting with a list of 13 titles, though it will be interesting to see how many third party games adopt the feature. Regardless, the list does look pretty impressive, with games such as Gears of War 4, Halo Wars 2, Forza Horizon 3, ReCore & Crackdown 3.
